Venture Aviation moves from Greenville Downtown Airport to GSP
Venture Aviation, a full-service aviation company, is moved from the Greenville Downtown Airport to the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport on April 15th.
Venture Aviation will relocate to Cerulean Aviation on the GSP campus, according to a GSP press release.
Venture provides aircraft management, brokerage and charter services.
“We are excited to move to GSP, which is truly the epicenter of aviation in the Upstate of South Carolina,” said David Knoblauch, president of Venture Aviation Group. “This will give our clients access to new travel options and we look forward to this partnership.”
The company will lease more than 30,000 square feet of hangar space, office facilities and shop space to support its managed fleet of aircraft, personnel and aircraft maintenance operations.
“We welcome Venture Aviation to the Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport,” said Dave Edwards, GSP’s president and CEO. “Venture shares our passion for aviation, commitment to safety and emphasis on customer service. They will provide valuable services at GSP for the corporate and private aviation community.”
Venture employs 19 full-time pilots and provides year-round crew services. Each pilot undergoes annual training under the supervision of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and a contracted flight simulation provider. Venture also provides trip coordination by employing a charter coordinator to handle all flight arrangements such as scheduling, ground transportation, lodging and catering. Venture was founded in 1998 and was based at the Greenville Downtown Airport.
